The term heart animal has become increasingly widespread among pet parents. It refers to a special bond created with an animal who comes along once in a lifetime and grabs your heart so tightly, they change the way you live life. Heart animals can be dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, birds, or any other species. I never experienced this kind of cross-species bond until I met my own "Heart Bunny".

My work with The Three Legged Rabbit aims to celebrate and memorialize these different creatures in the world who manage to touch our hearts and souls in ways we can't even begin to understand.
